On Saturday 11 October, the Club was honoured to support Globe-Trotter as they unveiled their Thunderball 60th Anniversary collection at an evening soirée hosted at their flagship boutique in the iconic Burlington Arcade. The celebration brought together invited guests from the Bond community and 007GB Club members for an intimate occasion that captured the spirit of adventure and travel synonymous with Thunderball.
The champagne reception, complemented by fine refreshments and surrounded by Globe-Trotter’s renowned craftsmanship, set a refined tone for the night. Guests were given exclusive insight into the new anniversary line through a presentation from the store manager, including the reveal of a unique one-of-a-kind piece available to view only at the Burlington Arcade flagship. The occasion was elevated further by the attendance of our Club Patron, Martine Beswicke, who portrayed Paula Kaplan in the 1965 film, as well as other Bond alumni, providing a direct link to Bond’s cinematic heritage.
This collaboration has been a particular pleasure for the Club, with our President, Mark Wooldridge, working closely with Globe-Trotter since April when the new collection was first discussed as being in development. The result was a unique and memorable evening that celebrated Bond film history, international travel, Globe-Trotter’s craftsmanship, and the enduring Bond community.
