50 walkers, 10 miles, 22 locations and a target to raise £5,000 for UNICEF.

11th October saw a number of people collecting at Wapping Station for The Walk Is Not Enough. A lovely day, the sun was shining and hope was high when the 007GB Club President, his Hirsute Highness, Phil Dewhurst, broke open a bottle of suspect champagne to hilarious effect before wishing us all on our way. A few adventurous souls engaged in referenced attire: a couple of Day of the Deads, a tuxedo and most notably, a banana-coloured ski suit with goggles and hat in contrasting red.
The walk followed a westerly direction, hopping north and south over the Thames to arrive at the Morpeth Arms opposite the MI6 building. The four team leaders all executed their roles to enthusiastic perfection. The locations took in scenes from The World is not Enough, SPECTRE, Skyfall, GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and various notables that honoured the author, Ian Fleming.
A chance for people to walk and talk, London offered an element of peace to engage with one another until the teams arrived coincident to protests and demonstrations in the city’s centre. While the majority of the locations were to be viewed from outside only, one group did decide to up their game and knocked on the door of the Reform Club, location to both Skyfall and Quantum of Solace. Generosity abounded when the guard decided to allow them all in for a look at the tiled floor and the balcony where the swordfight took place.
Thanks were given, and apologies were made for the one number who was the gentleman in a bright yellow ski suit. Quite bizarrely, he was never even noticed until the apology was made.
Targeted to raise £5,000, the team raised a thoroughly respectable £8,721!
